U-21: Under 21 Championship

Under 21 Championship Tang 1-11 Rosemount 1-8 Tang played Rosemount away on Monday last in the first round of u-21 championship. This was a very tight affair played in dreadful wet conditions and is indeed a credit to both teams with the football they served up. the first half was nip and tuck with Tang scoring the last two pts to lead 7 to 5 at the break despite having the most possesion. Tang started the second half and scored a peach of a goal when John Rock started a movement in his backline and after good play ended up recieving the last pass on the fourteen yard line and John finished impeccably to the bottom left corner of the net. This score left five pts up and despite Rosemount's best efforts this lead was too big. Rosemount did score a penalty but Tang held on for a deserved victory and now advance to the next round against Castledaly This was a good solid performance with everyone putting their shoulder to the wheel.Team M.Donoghue, J. Rock, C.Connor, A.Elliot, S.Coughlan, S,Egan, D, Reddin, T.English, D.Burke, A.Burke (Capt), P.O.Neill, M.Rock, W.Flanagan, O.Coughlan. This team is back in action on this Saturday in Castledaly at 2:30 and your support would be most welcome.
