Maryland/Tang Progress to u-21 final Maryland/Tang overcame the challenge of Caulry in the u-21 championship on Sunday last. Maryland/Tang took the game to Caulry with chances very scarce as Caulry brought a lot of bodies behind the ball. Calum Mc Cormack opened the scoring with a fine pt from a free and soon after added a another from play. Caulry offered little up front but did convert a free. Maryland/Tang kept on the pressure and opened a three pt lead with Martin Rock and Peter Cunningham adding two good pts. A well worked goal before the interval really killed off the challenge of Caulry. John Rock was fouled on the 45 m line but quickly fed in a lovely pass for brother Martin who turned his man and deftly passed the ball to an in-rushing Enda Kincaid who coolly flicked the ball past a helpless goalie. Maryland/Tang started the second half attacking as well and after both John and Martin Rock finished to the net to take a 3-8 to 0-1 lead , the match was as good as over. Maryland/Tang now look forward to a final showdown with Athlone.
