Tang v Bunbrosna Div1 Tang 2-7 Bunbrosna 1-11 Bunbrosna made the journey to Tang on Friday evening needing a win to boost their relegation worries. Tang started brightly opening their scoring with two pts from Aidan Burke and soon after Tang had a glorious goal chance when Ian Coughlan got inside the Bun defence but his shot missed the target. This appeared to jolt Bunbrosna awake and Bun took over for a spell kicking six unanswered pts. Tang dug deep and replied with two pts to narrow the deficit 0-6 to 0-4 at the interval. Any hope of a Tang revival in the second half were squashed when Bunbrosna scored a pt and then found the Tang net with a fine sweeping movement. Bun added two more pts when Aidan Burke a fine indivual pt to leave Tang 1-9 to 0-5. Tang did scored a goal when a shot from Ian Coughlan came back off the post to a waiting Sean Egan who slotted the ball to the net with ease. Bun responded with two pts. Tang rallied and John Rock blasted a pt over and Willie Flanagan added another. With time nearly up Dean Reddin deflected a 45 to the net to reduce the match to the minimum. However the final whistle sounded soon after and Bunbrosna were good value for their victory.
