Last week Tang lost out to Rosemount in the Championship and against Athlone turned in a sterling performance from start to finish. Tang started in hurricance fashion bagging three goals in the first fifteen minutes with Martin Rock from penalty spot, Niall Bannon and Aidan Burke. Athlone did enjoy a spell before the interval to score two goals but tang finished the stronger taking a 3-7 to 2-2. Tang finished the second limiting Athlone to a pt and adding eight pts. This win will boost Tang's confidence ahead of next weeks crucial championship match against St Mary's
