Tang Open Their Div One Campaign

Tang open their Div One campaign Tang 1-13 Tyrellspass 0-14 Tang played hosts to Tyrellspass in the first round of County League on Sunday morning last. As the Spring sun shone and the pitch was in good order, Tang took the game to Tyrellspass gaining an early advantage 4pts to 0-1. Gradually Tyrellspass took a foothold in midfield and with five minutes to the interval had reeled Tang with sides tied at six apiece. However Tang upped the ante and a golden spell saw them score 1-2 with the goal coming from a well worked move finished with aplomb from Colm Conlon. Tang stretched their lead in the second half but again Tyrellspass bombarded the Tang defence but failed to reduce the deficit, although the Tang goal lead a charmed life on at least two occasions. That said, Tang will be happy to have two points in the bag and to have a match under their belt.
