Tang kick off their League campaign Mullingar Shamrocks 1-13 Tang 1-7 Tang got their div1 league games started on sun with a game against mullingar shamrocks in Springfield.Tang showed no fear of their division one opponents and started brightly contesting every ball and scores were tit for tat with aiden burke notching up six points for tang in the first half.Mullingar were guilty of being waste full in front of goal with six wides to tangs three.Tang held a slender one point advantage at the break.The second half was to be a different game with mullingar finding the range of the tang goal early on and a penalty awarded with twelve minutes gone didn't bode well for tang.Mullingars Dylan McDermot dispatched the kick to the bottom left hand corner to take the lead to four points.Tang then lost full back cieran duncan with an injury.Tang attacks were confined by a strong mullingar half back line for most of this half but Alan Higgins did manage to net a goal for tang but it wasn't enough and the Mullingar side finished with six points to spare.
