Minor: Div 2 Minor Final

Div 2 Minor Final Maryland/Tang 1-8 St Malachys-Ballinagore 2-11 Maryland/Tang played St Malachys-Ballinagore and after a good hour's football, they had to give way to a bigger and more physical side. Maryland/Tang started brightly playing with the aid of a breeze and incline and soon racked up 1-5 but St Malachys-Ballinagore replied with a goal and towards the end of the half added a goal and two pts to reduce the deficit to two pts. Maryland/Tang were dealt a serious blow when influential midfielder Conor Marlow was sidelined with a fractured ankle when he fell awkwardly when contesting a kickout. We wish Connor a speedy recovery. The second half belonged to St Malachys-Ballinagore where they controlled possesion around the third sector of the field and ran out deserving victors on the day. Connor loss proved too much as Maryland/Tang's previous revolved around our strength at midfield.
