Proposed Realighment of the N55 between The Pigeons and Ballymahon. From: Seamus Mccormack To: Secretary tang westmeath Sent: Wed, 19 Apr 2017 13:18:24 +0100 (IST) Subject: Re:Proposed Realighment of the N55 between The Pigeons and Ballymahon. Dear JJ, As the owner of The Three Jolly Pigeons I am very concerned about the proposed routes that would result in the pub being bypassed.I fear that this pub will have to close if this happens.Clearly I would lose any passing trade. At present I get groups from Cavan and the North who take the N55 West.If the pub cant be seen from the new route proposed, this trade will be lost to me.("Out of sight, out of mind"). While we all agree that the road needs to be made safer, the changes proposed are too drastic for many of us. I will be happy to support any family who feel they will be disadvantaged by the new route. I'm considering launching a campaign -petition etc to protect my business if the eventual route proposed isolates the pub. As a founding member of Tang G.A.A.Club and its chief sponsor since I took over the pub 25 years ago I would appreciate the club's support in this matter. I would appreciate if you would forward this email to all the members of the club and would welcome feedback so I can plan how to fight my case. Looking forward to hearing from you, Best wishes, Seamus McCormack.
