INTERMEDIATE CUP FINAL TANG 2-19 ROSEMOUNT 2-15 Tang played Rosemount in the intermediate cup final on sat night under lights in Tubberclair. With this being the last game of the season for both teams, a good game was to be expected. Rosemount got off to the better start but Tang kept the pressure on never letting the lead go further than two or three points and took the lead just before the break to go in three points up after some great scores by Aidan burke, Martin rock and Trevor English. Rosemount upped their game from the start of the second half but with Tang stalwart Paul Conway moved to mid field Tang weathered the storm. Darragh burke and Owen Coughlan were sprung from the bench and the fresh legs made an immediate impact with both players collecting scores. At this stage scores were tit for tat with both sides giving there all and the game finished all square at full time. Rosemount again lifted their game in extra time but with some fine defending by John Rock and Kieran Duncan , Tang managed to confine Rosemount nt to a couple of points while Tang kicked five pts to win by three at the final whistle, it was tang’s captain Niall Bannon who lifted the cup to the cheers of Tang’s players and supporters . Thanks to Rosemount team and officials for a fine and sporting game and to Tubberclair on making their fine pitch and facilities available on the night. > tang team and scores m.galvin,j rock 0-01,k duncan,a elliot,e carey,c connor,s coughlan,t english0-03,j conlon,d reddin,n bannon0-03,m rock1-03 w.flanagan,p conway a.burke0-8 subs o.coughlan1-00 for w.flanagan d burke0-01 for a.elliote d. gill,j.conor,m.donoghue,a.murrey,p.o neil ,n lynn
